Whether you are getting close to your recertification deadline, or you just want to make sure you get as many PD points as you can to be prepared for that deadline, there are a plethora of ways for you to get them done, and we are here to help.
The easiest way to get PD points with us is simply to participate in UTW meetings. If you participate in any UTW committees, Eboard meetings, or Pro-rep meetings, we will submit your participation to the district. That even includes Building Committee meetings as long as you submit your attendance to us.
Additionally, if you participate in out-of-district professional development through NEA, KNEA, AFT-KS, or AFT you can submit your attendance to the district for PD points. If you spent money for the training, you may even be able to get up to $100 a year reimbursed.
Here are further details on how to request reimbursement or PD points for out-of-district professional development participation.
If you are looking for opportunities through our parent affiliates for more professional development, be sure to check our newsletter and our Facebook page for new opportunities.
