UTW is excited to support Ngoc Vuong for USD 259 BOE in district 3. Here is some info on why he is running for the USD 259 school board.

After the encouragement of our students, staff, families, and community members, I am proud to announce that I will be running for District 3 of the USD 259 Board of Education.

As a proud alum of Wichita Public Schools and lifelong Wichitan, I realized the importance of a school board that reflects the lived experiences of our community. As a researcher, educator, and community advocate, I realized the importance of a school board that makes sound decisions, are responsible stewards of resources, and emphasizes bottom-up leadership.

I am running to ensure student success and school discipline. I am running to improve family and community engagement. And I am running to protect and strengthen our public schools.

I cannot do this alone. Your support for this campaign will be instrumental in elevating voices of our working-class.
