UTW members have the best of both worlds. Our affiliation with both national organizations, the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) and the National Education Association (NEA), allows us to offer the best in benefits and services. National Education Association (NEA)
The National Education Association (NEA), the nation’s largest professional employee organization, is committed to advancing the cause of public education. NEA has affiliate organizations in every state and in more than 14,000 communities across the United States.
American Federation of Teachers (AFT)
The American Federation of Teachers is a union of professionals that champions fairness; democracy; economic opportunity; and high-quality public education, healthcare and public services for our students, their families and our communities.
